Adil's Record
Dr. Adil Shamji has served as your Member of Provincial Parliament in Don Valley East since 2022. With his background as an emergency physician and public policy expert, Adil was quickly voted one of the rising stars at Queen’s Park.
Adil has made an extraordinary impact as the Ontario Liberal Critic for Health and Housing, proposing bold and innovative solutions to Doug Ford’s healthcare and housing crises. He has fought to increase access to family doctors, reduce emergency room wait times, clear surgical and diagnostic backlogs, and has held Doug Ford accountable for his failure to ensure the cost of rent and housing remains affordable.
Adil lives and breathes Don Valley East. He has led advocacy efforts to save the Science Centre, fast-track the Eglinton Crosstown, shop locally, and stop Doug Ford from taking away our Service Ontario. He has hosted numerous town halls, advocacy summits, and community barbecues.
Doug Ford once called Don Valley East “a sleepy little neighbourhood in the suburbs that no one goes to,” but our community is so much more than that.
Vote Dr. Adil Shamji to show Doug Ford who he’s messing with.

A Vote for Dr. Shamji Means:
A FAMILY DOCTOR FOR EVERYONE
Adil has a plan to guarantee everyone in Ontario access to a family doctor by 2029–one year faster than Conservatives–by building new medical schools, expanding medical school seats, increasing residency positions, licensing internationally trained physicians, and making life as a family doctor more attractive.
MORE HOMES YOU CAN AFFORD
Adil will make buying or renting a home more affordable by eliminating the provincial Land Transfer Tax for first-time homebuyers, seniors downsizing, and non-profit homebuilders, by scrapping municipal development charges, and by creating new protections for landlords and tenants.
MORE FOR YOU TAX CUT
Adil will bring down the cost of living by cutting income tax rates for middle-class families, and by eliminating the sales tax on home heating and hydro bills.
